Attendance awards presented

Mon, Mar 30th, 2026

Presentations were made in the final week of term to students who have 100% attendance in school this academic year.

Attendance in schools is recognised by the government as one of the most important indicators for school success. There is a clear correlation between high attendance in school and improved grades across all years.

In a government study of the 2022-23 Year 11 cohort across the UK, students who had an attendance rate of 95 to 100% were 1.9 times more likely to achieve at least a Grade 5 in English and Maths GCSE compared to pupils who only attended 90-95% of the time and three times more likely than those who only attended 85-90% of the time.

The study also concluded regular attendance enhances pupil wellbeing, social development, extracurricular performance and longer-term career prospects.

Well done to all students who received certificates at Worth last week. These individuals have attended all 220 morning and afternoon sessions so far this school year.

Here is a selection of pictures from the presentations covering some but not all the certificate recipients.
