Delving deeper into science

Mon, Jun 23rd, 2025

Students taking the IB Diploma at Worth worked as teams in carrying out a series of experiments and investigations as part of the annual Collaborative Science Project.

The Collaborative Science Project is a compulsory part of the IB Diploma, encouraging students to work together on an area of science which interests them.

Groups worked on their projects for a day and a half before presenting their conclusions to their peers. This concluded with a prize-giving judged by staff in the Science department.

As well as challenging their minds, the Collaborative Science Project allows students to appreciate the environmental, social and ethical implications of science.

Congratulations to all for some fabulous work.

Worth is one of the UK’s leading schools for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. Up to one third of Worth Sixth Form students study the IB Diploma, first introduced at the School in 2002.
