Work progressing nicely on Science extension

Work is progressing nicely on our £2.5m Science block extension which will include three new state-of-the-art classrooms.

The design of the new Science project involves constructing a single storey building and infilling the space between the existing Science and Art/D&T buildings to provide three new Science laboratories and a new entrance to the department.

Building work began in the summer and will be completed in 2025. The extension will be constructed from materials which relate to the adjacent former stables: red brick walls, plain tile roof, dark timber framed entrance canopy and dark coloured window frames. This palette will ensure the new building has a material connection and adds cohesion to the school site.

This project will benefit all pupils and will be the latest addition in an ambitious programme of development at the School.
